A New Confidence
Imagine being the hero of the NBA finals and playing above everyones standard. It can be surreal because everyone is applauding you and you are respected by all alike. Playing well under all types of pressures will only add to your growing success. This is a once in a lifetime experience for some veterans and rookies who play above what they usually do. They may have one amazing game where they score 50 points on 70 percent shooting while handing our 8 assists. However, if enough is known about the player, you will be able to tell if they had some luck on their side.
Lets face it; there are good, average and bad basketball players on almost every team. There are leaders, role players and players that rarely get on the court. This occurs because of skill, and talent and more. While star players are used to the lime light, players that help out once in a while are not. This is because they have showcased a new side to them, something that does not happen everyday.
When this happens, it can be good and bad. If the players get very confidence, they may try to attack harder and may try to take over more. This can be good if they are not getting enough chances to do. However, every player should always remain on the ground. If you get above yourself and think that you are better than you really are, you put false hopes and can hurt your team. If you are happy for yourself and want to get better because of what you have done, that would be okay. You can think you are good but not to a level that you know cannot happen. You will always need some confidence in order to player well but being in the middle is important.
