A Room With A View

From Los Angeles to Atlantic City I have been around the the United States and stayed at various hotels and motels. Making sure to always get a room with a view.

This whole obsession started out when I was in the military and I had to deal with sleeping in cramped quarters with usually a good view of nothing. From that day forward I always made sure that whenever I stayed in a place that was not my home I would be able to see a view of something at least halfway decent.

Now its a true fact that you are going to get what you pay for. So if the hotel that you are staying at is a mere $40 a night - expect to see the parkway or maybe a brick building which is next to you. Now take the W hotel in NYC if you stay anywhere above the 22nd floor you will have an amazing view of midtown New York City as well as a great view of the water which separates New York from New Jersey! With a view like that it makes it hard to leave your hotel room at all! Instead I usually just want to sit around my room and look down on the streets below. Seeing the people like they are little ants moving around the busy crowded New York Streets.

My favorite place where I had the best view every was a hotel that I stayed at in Cabo Mexico. I had a view of the pacific ocean like you could not believe! Every angel of my hotel window showed an amazing view and was just great to look at when I got up - when I went to sleep I was put to sleep by the sound of the ocean! This hotel was not cheap - but I have to say it was well worth every penny.

So next time you decide to stay at a hotel or need to stay away from your house be sure that the place that you are staying at can do some justice for your location - so that you will be able to take everything in!
