RV Sales Lots Worst Fear; A Hurricane
We all know that those who live in Fabricated Homes or Mobile Homes in the Tornado Belt are always worried about a Killer F-5 Tornado. In fact many call these homes Tornado Magnets. Well, what about a Hurricane going thru an RV Sales Lot? Is your RV Lot ready for a Hurricane; one of a high category, which would knock over every recreational vehicle and motor home on the lot?
Indeed, you should be and if you do not own an RV Lot just know that this is one of the Worst fears of those the RV sales lots in places like Florida or near the Gulf Coast. If you have motor coaches you might be able to fill them up with fuel and have those who are evacuating take one each, if your insurance will go for it. Of course then you will have to pay for a complete detail once they get back and they will then be slightly used.
This would be much better than what happened to the 1600 buses that got flooded in New Orleans and it makes sense to have people drive the vehicles out of harms way. But what if your RV lot has hundreds of fifth-wheel trailers? How can you secure enough tow vehicles to move them all? Well with only a 3-4 day notice, the chances are you cant and therefore you might take a big financial hit, increased insurance in the future and severe disruption of your business. Please consider this in 2006.
