Washington Wizards Are The Weakest Team In The Playoffs Ever

The Washington Wizards are one of the weakest teams in the playoffs that the league has ever seen. Forget about winning, if the Wizards can avoid a clean sweep by Cleveland when they take them on for the first round series, it will be a major achievement for them.

Guard Antonio Daniels said that the Wizards have been written off by everyone except the players themselves and a few fans. He further added that the team was motivated because they have been written off completely.

In December and January when the team was performing so well, it seemed that a 50 win season would be quite possible for the Wizards to achieve. They also boasting of have the best Big Three in the league. Gilbert Arenas was scoring as will while Caron Butlers defense and toughness made him the backbone of the team. Antawn Jamison was scoring 20 points with 8 rebounds and he provided the leadership. At their peak the three players accounted for more than 60 percent of the teams offense.

However, when Arenas, Butler or Jamison got injured, the Wizards could not muster enough talent to win games. When the trio were playing, the Wizards went for 33-21 and when one of them missed a game, they went for 8-20.

When the Wizards take on Cleveland in the first round of playoffs, things will be bleak for them as two of their Big Three will be out of action. Butler has broke a bone in his hand on April1, 2007 while trying to block a shot while Arenas tore the meniscus in his knee after a player fell on his leg during a game on April 4, 2007.

In the last two regular season games, the Wizards missed 21 free throws and they are the only playoff team in the East with a losing record in their final 10 games.
